The Discounts feature in Ticmint enables event organizers to offer special pricing on tickets through promo codes. Using promo codes you can:
Boost ticket sales
Reward loyal attendees
Target specific audience segments with custom offers
How It Works
1. Accessing Discounts
From your event dashboard, select your event (e.g., Copa Del Rey).
Click Discounts in the left-hand menu.

2. Creating a Promo Code
Click Add Discount → Promo Code.
Enter a unique code (e.g., SAVE20).
Set discount type and value:
Fixed amount (e.g., ₹500 off)
Percentage (e.g., 20% off)
Define limits:
Usage per buyer (unlimited or limited)
Total quantity available

Choose validity period (start and end date/time).

Click Manage next to "Apply code to"
In the pop-up, you’ll see Visible Tickets which displays all ticket types available for your event (e.g., General Pass).
Select the checkboxes next to the ticket types you want the promo code to be valid for. Only attendees purchasing these selected tickets will be able to use the code.
Click Save to activate.
Buyers must enter this code during checkout to redeem.

Group Discount
The Group Discount feature allows organisers to offer discounts when users purchase tickets in bulk. This helps increase ticket sales volume and encourages group bookings.
When a user selects the minimum number of tickets set by the organiser, the discount is automatically applied, and a message is displayed to inform them of the offer.
How Group Discount Works
The organiser defines a minimum number of tickets (e.g., 5 tickets)
A discount percentage is set for that quantity
When users select the required number of tickets:
The discount is applied automatically
A dynamic message is displayed
Example message shown to users:
“You will get 10% discount on 5 tickets.”
This creates a clear incentive for users to purchase more tickets.
Supported Event Types
Group Discount is available for the following event types:
Seated events
Non-seated events
DTCM events
Setting Up a Group Discount
Navigate to your Event Dashboard
Go to the Pricing / Ticket Settings section
Locate the Group Discount option
Configure the following:
Minimum Ticket Quantity (e.g., 5)
Discount Percentage (e.g., 10%)
Save the settings
Once saved, the discount will be automatically applied when users meet the criteria.
User Experience
Users select tickets as usual
When the required quantity is reached:
A message appears indicating the discount
The discounted price is reflected instantly
This ensures transparency and encourages higher ticket purchases.
Bulk Discount
The Bulk Discount feature allows organisers to assign discounted tickets to multiple users at once by uploading a CSV file. This is especially useful for corporate bookings, group allocations, and large-scale ticket distribution.
Instead of manual entry, organisers can upload user details in bulk, and the system will automatically process and apply the discounts.
How Bulk Discount Works
The organiser prepares a CSV file with the required user and ticket details
The file is uploaded to the platform
The system processes the data and assigns tickets/discounts accordingly
Users receive an email notification with their ticket allocation or discount details
This ensures a smooth and efficient bulk booking experience.
CSV File Requirements
The uploaded CSV file must include the following fields:
User Email ID
Discount Percentage
Ticket Type Name
Quantity
⚠️ Ensure all data is accurate to avoid processing errors.
Setting Up Bulk Discount
Navigate to your Event Dashboard
Go to the Pricing / Discounts section
Select Bulk Discount
Upload the prepared CSV file
Review the uploaded data (if preview is available)
Click Submit / Process
Once processed, the system will apply the discounts and notify users.
User Experience
Users receive an email notification after processing
The email includes:
Ticket allocation details or discount information
Instructions (if applicable) to redeem or access tickets
This ensures users are informed without requiring manual communication.
Best Practices
Communicate discount terms clearly to attendees.
Monitor active discounts to avoid overlaps or conflicts.
Track discount performance via sales reports for insights.
✅ With discounts properly set up, you can effectively incentivize purchases and reward your attendees.
